Privatization and Public Services
The privatization of public services raises questions about the changing role of the state in the context of globalization, the putative shift from government to governance as an aspect of neoliberalization, and the nature of citizenship. The workshop engaged with these questions through focusing on three sectors essential to individual well-being, collective public health, and an inclusive polity: education, health, and water supply.
